Things to AVOID while Trying to Grow on Social Media!

Hi,

After consulting for artists that have grown their social media to over a hundred thousand followers, I’ve learned a thing or two about what worked — and what didn’t work.

Now, here’s what clearly didn’t work for them:

Hashtags — They may be helpful for others, but not me. I also don’t know anyone else who’s gained millions of followers from using hashtags.

Fake followers — It makes your Instagram look weird, so no one wants to engage with you. Don’t do that. We never did this, never advised to do it, but for some reason, artists think it’s a good idea?

Posting a lot (without followers) — I never understood the logic here. I wouldn’t recommend wasting time and energy creating content without having an audience to show it to.

So what actually worked?
